Night Hunt Imperial Stout
This baby is black, devoid of color. It has a creamy dark tan to light brown head. Aroma is of coffee, dark fruit (plum or prune), some spicy, earthy hop notes.
As for taste, the malt really comes through, even though it is very well-hopped; the malt balances and even supplies a bit of bitterness of it’s own. The residual sugars help to balance the flavor. Again, dark fruit notes come through but dark bread or even cake-like tastes come in. The roasted grains and the oats are very well showcased in the flavor and it finishes rather silky.
