March Brewer’s Night

Brewers night is Friday this month for St. Patrick’s day to share the Irish Red Grouse! ( We brewed last month) and brewing well we have not decided that, ideas are excepted. We should do maybe do the 60 min IPA for Easter! Then we throw a bunch of hops in a bucket and after the initial hopping grab a pinch and ad it every hour till boil is complete. We did it at a Club meeting for Muddy River Mashers Homebrew Club years ago talk about bomb! Main Street Drive Thru Liquor 5:30 ish! See you there and cheers!

April 2016 Brewer’s Night

Brewing outside was great, got a little chilly when sun went down, but there were great beers to be had.

The Honey Wheat turned out good, we sampled the 6 yr old nightstalker, Travis brought the mixed barrel triple, wheat had a nice homemade wheat, session citra pale from Surley, a session sour that would rock on a warm day and at 3.5% it was easy to drink. Chris also brought a chocolate Belgian stout very tasty.

Thanks to all of you who joined us, hope to see more of you next month as we tapped the habanero amber, we decide 5 gallons of mango, and if I can find peaches we will try that for the other 5 gallons.

A New IPA for 2016

On tap now at Mainstreet Drive Through Liquor.
90-ish IBU’s nice light caramel color with a nice citrus or grapefruit flavor, and creamy head. Complimentary grains make for easy drinking. It dries out nicely to allow those hops to shine. I get a nice citrus and floral note in the nose. Come give it a try, please tell me what you think.

Also on tap right now, Hunters Amber, Night hunt Imperial stout, very popular cream ale, Corey’s kolsch, Bourbon Porter, and Dog Tooth Brown.

Waiting for a tap Belgian Red (made with locally made inverted candy sugar), and the ever popular Bitter Stout.
